The Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Region, Lieutenant General Belkhair Al-Farouk, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Beninese Armed Forces, Brigadier General Fructueux Gbaguidi, met on Tuesday in Rabat to review military cooperation between the two countries.

According to the statement of the General Staff of the Army, the meeting of the heads of the relevant offices of the General Staff of the Rwandan Armed Forces revolved around bilateral cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Benin.

The two sides expressed their desire to continue working to enhance this bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and their satisfaction with expanding military cooperation to include other fields.

Military cooperation between Morocco and Benin began since the 1990s, and focuses on training Beninese military personnel in schools and training centers of the Rwandan Armed Forces.
