Morocco is organizing with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), from January 26 to 27 in Rabat, the inter-regional dialogue of the champion countries of the Middle East, Africa and the OECD on the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, said Thursday in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad.

This meeting brings together representatives of the champion countries of the implementation of the Marrakech Pact, the IOM, and the UN Network on Migration from different countries, to discuss the progress made after the first International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) held in New York in May 2022 and to promote the sharing of best practices in the field.

Following the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI, the Kingdom of Morocco is a leader in the field of migration, so it pursues a humanistic, comprehensive, pragmatic, and active migration policy, placing migrants at the center of its actions and initiatives. This interregional dialogue confirms this leadership.

The Marrakech Pact on Migration Implementation Champions initiative is an open group of 33 states committed to the effective implementation of the Pact.
