The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, on a visit to Angola, the first stage of his African tour. The Russian-Ukrainian crisis was at the focus of discussions between the head of the Russian diplomacy and the Angolan authorities.

Sergei Lavrov said, on Wednesday, from Luanda that he accuses the West of putting pressure on African countries to support Ukraine.

In this sense, Lavrov said that Western countries have “turned Ukraine into a scene of hybrid war against Russia”.

It should be recalled that at the beginning of the month, the Angolan president called on Russia to declare a definitive ceasefire, knowing that Angola voted in favor of the resolution condemning the annexation of Ukrainian territories, while this country abstained at the beginning from condemning the Russian operation in Ukraine at the UN.
