Morocco will participate in the Dakar 2 Summit on Food Sovereignty to be held at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Centre (CICAD) in Diamniadio in Dakar from 25 to 27 January.

This summit will be held under the theme “Feeding Africa: Food Sovereignty and Resilience”, at the initiative of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and brings together governments, organizations, scientific experts, and the private sector to address the challenge of food security in Africa.

The first edition, held in 2015, defined the main lines of the strategy for agricultural transformation in Africa from 2016 to 2025.

This summit will be chaired by the President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, who is also the current Chairman of the African Union. African heads of state will mobilize their government resources, development partners, and private sector funding to develop Africa’s agricultural and food potential.
