The leaders of French and German diplomacy began a visit to Addis Ababa on Thursday to keep peace in Tigray,  after the deal that ended the conflict in this region of northern Ethiopia.

During this visit, which comes just after the Tigray rebels began to abandon their weighty weapons, Catherine Colonna and Annalena Baerbock are due to meet, in particular, the Ethiopian Prime Minister, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Justice as well as representatives of the African Union and human rights defenders.

Furthermore, They planned to visit a disbandment center of the World Food Program to observe the performance of a Ukrainian donation of 50,000 tons of grain to Ethiopia and Somalia, whose transport Paris and Berlin financed to the tune of 14 million euros each.

After two years of a fratricidal war that has replaced more additional than two million Ethiopians and dropped hundreds of thousands of people into situations close to hunger, the objective of Paris and Berlin is “to support the peace process”, said Ms. Colonna on Twitter.
