Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew intends to leave his mark as the head of the Ethiopian national airline. Nine months after his arrival as the head of the company he had served for 40 years, Tasew presented Ethiopian Airlines’ «Vision 2035», the most ambitious since its creation in 1945. A development plan that should further consolidate the domination of the African sky by the company.

This development plan contains quantified and ambitious goals. First, in terms of fleet size, the goal of almost double its fleet from 140 today to 271 by 2035.

Note that the company now receives one new aircraft each month and has one of the most modern fleets on the continent. In the first 11 months of this year, he has received 11 aircraft, with another 11 expected in 2023.

This includes four Dash8-400s, one Boeing 737-800, five Boeing 737 Max-8s and one A 350-900.
