Morocco’s Cultural Week in Mexico: Moroccan culture honoured

The Moroccan Cultural Week in Mexico, organized by the Moroccan Embassy in Mexico, started on Tuesday in Mexico City, with the participation of a delegation chaired by Mrs Mbarka Bouaida, President of the Association of Regions of Morocco and of the Council of the Guelmim Oued-Noun region.

The meetings and symposiums organised on the sidelines of this event aim to promote Moroccan culture and foster closer ties between Morocco and Mexico and highlight the role of culture as a pillar for strengthening political and economic cooperation between Morocco and Mexico.

During the opening ceremony, the Mexican Minister of Culture, Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, Ms Bouaida and the Moroccan ambassador to Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar, stressed the importance of the Moroccan Cultural Week to bring the two peoples closer and strengthen bilateral cooperation in several areas, political, diplomatic and economic.

Ms Bouaida added that this event highlights the specificities of Morocco’s regions as well as the development dynamics that the southern provinces of the Kingdom are undergoing.
