The Atlas Lions qualified for the quarter-finals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup on Tuesday 6 November, eliminating Spain after a thrilling match that ended with a fateful shot on goal. A restriction that sparked mass hysteria among Moroccan and Mauritanian supporters in Nouakchott.

Morocco’s Atlas Lions have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Following the historic performances of Cameroon (1990), Senegal (2002) and Ghana (2010), they are on track to reach a level of semi-finals never before achieved by a team from the African continent.

This performance is the origin of a real collective hysteria not only among Moroccan fans living in Nouakchott but also among Mauritanians. We marched through the streets of several residential areas.

Through this report, we enthusiastically represent Atlas Lions’ ability to earn the coveted trophy.
