The Prison Service announced in a statement that the killer of anti-apartheid activist Chris Hani, Janusz Walus, was released from prison today.
At the end of November, the country’s highest court granted early release to Janusz Walus, after some 30 years in jail.

Sentenced to death and then life imprisonment, this Polish immigrant with links to the white Afrikaner far right was due to be released from prison within ten days.

this last has just been removed from the hospital as he was undergoing treatment after being stabbed in prison on 29 November, following the announcement of his parole at the end of November by the country’s highest court.
