After an absence of more than 3 months for health reasons, following a stroke last August, the Prime Minister of the Malian transition, Choguel Kokalla Maïga, was received by the transitional president, Colonel Assimi Goïta. During this meeting, Maïga told the Head of State that he was fit to resume his post as Prime Minister.

Since then, the question was on everyone’s lips: what would Assimi Goïta decide? What would become of Colonel Abdoulaye Maïga, appointed interim Prime Minister a few days after the hospitalization of the head of government, and who was on all fronts during these few months? We remember in particular his controversial speech at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations, on September 24 in New York.
