The Minister of State for the Economy and Finance of the Republic of Benin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Benin, Aurélien Agbénonci, paid a working visit to Luxembourg.

During this visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between Benin and Luxembourg following bilateral talks between the two ministers, in order to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

In February 2022, Aurélien Agbénonci and the Luxembourg Minister for Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, Franz Fayot, signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of development cooperation.

These cooperation agreements aim, among other things, to promote access to basic social services, the socio-economic integration of women and young people, sustainable and inclusive growth, support for the establishment of agricultural colleges, and inclusive governance.
