Nigeria’s Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, stated that his country has recorded a good level of success against terrorists and insurgents, after supporting President Muhammadu Buhari in providing the Air Force (NAF) with new and modern platforms and the ability to activate their effective use on the battlefield.
Amao added that there was no doubt that some of the new platforms, notably the JF-17 Thunder, the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft and unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UAVs) were one of the many causes, in tackling terrorism.
The Nigerian Chief of Air Staff warned that complacency would harm the ongoing operations at this stage, and called for more focus, vigilance and caution.
