5 new African countries sign the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project

A memorandum of understanding has been signed to add to the previously signed memorandums by five African countries, on the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project with the Economic Community of West African States, Senegal and Mauritania.

This corporation relates to the Gambian National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Petrokin of Guinea-Bissau, SONAP of Guinea and the Sierra Leone Petroleum Directorate, and the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC).

The pipeline is expected to across 11 countries and to extend over 6,000 km, and is expected to approximately 3 billion cubic feet per day in 2027, of natural gas along the coast of West Africa to Morocco and Europe.
