Spanish Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Alparís, said that the mutually beneficial partnership between Spain and Morocco is a model to follow in the region, stressing that he wants to have the same relationship with all neighbours.

“The relations between the two countries are based on mutual respect and benefit, the absence of unilateral measures, and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs,” Albaris said, on the sidelines of a forum he was attending in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Alparís welcomed the new dynamic between the two countries since the visit of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, to Morocco last April.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that all the points contained in the Spanish-Moroccan declaration issued on April 7 have been implemented, also the air and sea contact has been fully restored, as well as the cooperation in the field of migration and combating human trafficking has increased.
