Ali Abdelrahman Almaeeni, a specialist in sports management for football clubs, has received numerous enticing offers to manage sports clubs outside his home country, the UAE. Among these offers was a distinguished opportunity to manage a club in South Africa.

Almaeeni stated to Weafrica24 that he was offered the management position at a club in South Africa that he will reveal the name of the club later, despite the allure of this offer, Almaeeni stated that he prefers to manage a club in his own country, expressing his ambition to lead an Emirati club and provide opportunities for Emirati youth while developing local sports.

Ali earned a diploma as a sports club manager from the 2C Sport Academy in Casablanca, Morocco, becoming the first non-Moroccan and the first Emirati to achieve this distinction. In an interview with Weafrica24, Almaeeni explained that he chose to train in Morocco due to the country’s extensive experience in sports management and its well-established football academies, making it the ideal Arab nation for this specialization.

Receiving robust support from the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, the Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, and the President of the UAE Handball Federation, Mr. Nabil Ashour, Mr. Almaeeni is well-positioned to advance his initiatives.

This support, Almaeeni believes, will enable him to achieve his goals and contribute to the development of sports in the UAE by efficiently and professionally managing local sports clubs.
