In a heartbreaking incident, a five-year-old boy known as David tragically lost his life after falling from a fence in the Igando area of Lagos State.

Sources reveal that young David was engaging in playful activities with other children in the community when he climbed onto the fence and seated himself upon it. However, during their play, David lost his balance and fell to the ground.

Upon realizing that David was unconscious, his friends promptly alerted a nearby neighbor, who rushed to the scene to assess the situation.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed the incident, stating, “A man reported at Igando Division that at about 5 pm, his son, David aged 5, fell from the fence while playing with other children. He was rushed to General Hospital Igando by a neighbor, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.”

This tragic occurrence serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of vigilance and safety precautions, especially in environments where children engage in recreational activities. Our thoughts and condolences go out to David’s family during this difficult time.
