The Nigerian Air Force, as part of Operation Hadarin Kai (OPHK), carried out precision airstrikes on the hideouts of ISWAP terrorists resulting in the elimination of over 30 fighters in Kolleram village situated along the shores of Lake Chad.

In a statement released by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, AVM Edward Gabkwet, on Tuesday in Abuja, it was emphasized that the airstrikes conducted on April 13th constituted a significant blow against terrorism in the Northeast region.

According to Gabkwet, the operation achieved notable success, as the post-strike battle damage assessment revealed the neutralization of over 30 terrorists.

Among the insurgents eliminated were several senior commanders, including Ali Dawud, Bakura Fallujah, and Mallam Ari.

Gabkwet further stated that the airstrikes destroyed numerous vehicles, motorcycles, and logistical assets, severely crippling the operational capabilities of the terrorists.

Furthermore, intelligence gathered post-strike indicated that a vital facility within the Kolleram enclave, serving as a hub for the terrorists’ food processing activities, including grinding machines, was effectively obliterated by the aerial bombardment.

The success of these airstrikes underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of Nigerian citizens.
