Senegalese opposition figure Ousmane Sonko made his first public appearance in months on Friday afternoon in Dakar, following his release from prison the previous day.
Hundreds of supporters met Ousmane Sonko as he arrived near a hotel in the city, where he was set to address the press alongside his running mate, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, a contender in the presidential election on March 24th.
