The tragic death of political opponent Yaya Dillo was confirmed by the Prosecutor of the Republic near the High Court of N’Djamena, Oumar Mahamat Kedelaye, on Thursday, February 29th, 2024. Yaya Dillo Djerou was known as the President of the Socialist Party Without Borders (PSF).

According to information provided by the Prosecutor, Yaya Dillo passed away following the assault that took place on Wednesday, February 28th, at his party’s headquarters. This violent attack reportedly resulted in fatalities and dozens of injuries. Additionally, twenty-six individuals have been arrested in connection with this incident.
