Congolese journalist Stanis Bujakera remains detained in Kinshasa after his request for provisional release was denied this Tuesday, as confirmed by his legal representatives.
Bujakera, a correspondent for the magazine “Jeune Afrique,” has been under trial in the Democratic Republic of Congo since October. The trial revolves around an unsigned article implicating military intelligence in the murder of an opposition figure, Chérubin Okende.
