In Chad, the National Election Management Agency (NEMA) has proposed, February 27th, 2024, the date of May 6th for the upcoming first round of the presidential election.

Subsequently, voters are to be officially summoned by presidential decree. This electoral event is poised to signify the conclusion of the political transition that commenced in 2021, following the passing of former Head of State, Idriss Déby Itno. He has been succeeded by his son, Mahamat Idriss Déby, who now occupies the presidential office.
