In a tragic incident witnessed in the city of Florence, located in the Tuscany region of Italy, a supermarket building collapsed, claiming the lives of two Moroccans. According to Italian media reports, the current death toll stands at five individuals, including the Moroccans identified as M.F. and T.H., while three others were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Sources indicate that all the victims hailed from Maghreb countries and were employed in construction works at the collapsed supermarket building. The incident is believed to have been triggered by the overturning of a reinforced concrete beam atop the structure, causing it to collapse. Approximately 50 workers were present at the construction site at the time of the collapse.

Local authorities have deployed rescue teams to search for any additional missing individuals at the site, expressing concerns over the possibility of an increase in the number of casualties. The collapse has prompted an urgent response from emergency services, who are working tirelessly to locate any survivors and provide assistance to those affected by the tragedy.
