Fatal Road Crash Claims Four Lives in Ondo

A tragic road accident in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has resulted in the loss of four lives and left 10 others injured. The incident, which occurred on Friday at the Stepdown Area, involved a luxury bus bearing the registration number plate KSF 93 YG.

According to reports, the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle, leading to a devastating crash that claimed multiple lives and caused injuries to several passengers. The injured individuals were promptly rushed to the hospital by the Ondo Police Command for urgent medical attention.

Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the tragic incident, stating that the deceased victims had their remains deposited at the hospital mortuary. She further disclosed that efforts were underway to provide support and assistance to the affected families.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) also corroborated the grim news, with Mr. Ezekiel Son’Allah, the Ondo Sector Commander, affirming the severity of the accident. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the morgue of a local hospital, while arrangements were made to handle the aftermath of the incident.

The precise cause of the accident is still under investigation, but preliminary reports suggest that the driver lost control of the bus while navigating the Stepdown Area of Ore. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by reckless driving and underscores the importance of adhering to road safety regulations.
