A fire broke out in a single-story building located at number 36, Awolowo Way, near the Under Bridge, within Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos. The blaze, which occurred around 9:45 am on Wednesday, caused significant damage to the property and destroyed goods valued at millions of naira. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Witnesses observed affected traders attempting to salvage their merchandise from the burning structure. Mrs. Magaret Adeseye, Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed the incident, stating that the situation is now under control. The fire primarily affected the ground floor of the commercial building, which serves as a store within the bustling Computer Village.

Efforts to determine the cause of the fire are ongoing, with investigations yet to yield conclusive results. However, authorities have contained the blaze to prevent its spread to upper floors and nearby structures. As of now, no casualties have been recorded in connection with the incident.
