In a targeted operation, operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended four brothers—Egbo Chukwuebuka, Egbo Favour Chibuike, Egbo Ifeanyi Francis, and Egbo Victor—on suspicion of involvement in internet fraud.

The siblings were detained alongside 30 additional individuals, including Great Eze, Ani Callistus, Ekpe Chigbo, Eze Eric, and others listed in a statement released by EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale.

The arrests, conducted in an intelligence-driven sting operation across various locations within Enugu State, targeted an all-male group of suspects. The operation resulted in the seizure of mobile phones and several luxury vehicles from the individuals implicated in the alleged fraudulent activities.

According to Oyewale, the suspects are to be subjected to thorough investigations, to bring charges against them in court upon the conclusion of the inquiry.

The EFCC’s decisive action underscores its commitment to combating cybercrime and ensuring the integrity of financial transactions. Such operations serve as a deterrent to individuals engaging in fraudulent activities, while also signaling the agency’s determination to uphold the rule of law.

As the investigation unfolds, the public awaits further developments in this case, anticipating justice to be served by due process.
