Supreme Court Rejects SDP's Appeal, Upholds Fintiri's Reelection in Adamawa

The Supreme Court has officially rejected the appeal filed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and its candidate, Umar Ardo, about the Adamawa governorship election.

Umar Ardo’s counsel requested the court to withdraw the case, leading to its dismissal by the five-member panel led by Justice John Okoro.

Earlier, both the Court of Appeal in Abuja and the tribunal had already dismissed Ardo’s petition challenging the victory of Ahmadu Fintiri.

This development leaves Fintiri with a remaining challenge from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Aishatu Dahiru, who are seeking Fintiri’s removal to be declared as the governor of the state. Stay tuned for further updates on this evolving political scenario.
