The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has expressed its commendation for the Anambra State Police Command’s swift response in dislodging a gang of hoodlums responsible for the attack and killing of two police officers at the Uga Roundabout in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State last Thursday.
The two police officers, reportedly from the Enugu State command, were on a special mission as part of the convoy for a prominent politician when they fell victim to the attack by the hoodlums amid traffic in the area.
Anambra’s Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, confirmed the elimination of the hoodlums during a raid on their camp in Ogboji, Orumba South LGA. The raid came after a thorough manhunt was launched against the criminals following the tragic incident.
Chinedu Obigwe, the National Coordinator of the Media Warriors Forum of APGA, commended the Anambra Police command and the administration of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for their effective response to the criminal activities. Obigwe stated, “Anambra is no longer a state where you can commit a crime and go scot-free.”
This incident highlights the commitment of the government to ensuring the security and safety of residents in Anambra, sending a strong message against criminal activities in the state.
