Describing Celine’s determined efforts amid the affliction, Claudette expressed deep concern over her sister’s inability to command her muscles, highlighting the emotional toll it takes. She reflected on Celine’s lifelong discipline and strong work ethic, emphasizing the heartbreaking nature of the situation. Claudette acknowledged that Celine, who has always strived for excellence, is uncertain about the future and the possibility of returning to the stage.

This update comes a year after Celine Dion publicly disclosed her diagnosis of Stiff-Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder marked by painful muscle spasms and stiffness that significantly impacts daily life. The Grammy-winning artist had to indefinitely postpone her Courage World Tour in May 2023, apologizing to her devoted fans for the disruption.

In an August 2023 interview with Le Journal de Montreal, Claudette conveyed optimism about ongoing efforts to explore treatments for the debilitating disease. She revealed that their sister, Linda Dion, has relocated to Celine’s home to assist in caring for her three sons, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson. The entire family, including their aunt, actively participates in supporting Celine’s treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery.
