In the region of Bako Maka in Benin, two soldiers from the Beninese armed forces succumbed to fatal injuries on Tuesday, December 12. This tragic incident occurred in the vicinity of Bako Maka, which marks the terminal locality before the border separating Benin and Niger.
The two military personnel had gone to fetch drinking water, and it was on their way back that their motorcycle rolled over an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). According to our information, they succumbed to their injuries.
