Jordanian Field Hospital in Gaza Hit by Israeli Shelling

The Jordanian military announced on Sunday that its field hospital in Gaza City came under attack on Saturday evening due to Israeli shelling, resulting in the fall of shrapnel and smoke bombs. In a statement, the Jordanian military reported, “A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, stated on Saturday evening that some facilities of the Jordanian Field Hospital/2 in southern Gaza were hit by shrapnel and smoke bombs due to the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.”

The source added that there were no human casualties or material damage, and all hospital staff members are safe. The General Command of the Armed Forces emphasizes the continued work of medical teams in the Gaza Strip, fulfilling their humanitarian duty to the people and brethren in the region.

Earlier in the conflict, the Jordanian field hospital was also targeted by Israeli airstrikes, resulting in injuries to seven hospital personnel. The incident highlights the challenges faced by medical facilities in conflict zones and the ongoing humanitarian impact of the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza.
