The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dung Tari, in the Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria, remains missing after spending 40 days in captivity. Tari was abducted on September 23, shortly after attending a party meeting in the council area.

According to eyewitnesses, he was forcefully taken away by unidentified men in two Hilux vehicles while answering a phone call along the Bukuru expressway in Jos.

Despite ongoing efforts to locate him, Tari’s whereabouts remain unknown. His abduction has raised suspicions, with some speculating about possible political motives behind the incident.

Concerned citizens, including the Chairman of Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation, Ezekiel Nyaku, have condemned the situation, expressing their deep distress over the prolonged disappearance of the PDP chairman. The local community continues to hope for his safe return as the search for him continues.
