Kaduna Troops Rescue Six Kidnap Victims and Neutralize Bandit

Troops from the 1 Division Nigerian Army have successfully rescued six kidnapped victims and neutralized one bandit in Kaduna State. That was confirmed by the acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Lieutenant-Colonel Musa Yahaya, in a statement released on Saturday. The daring rescue took place in the general area of Hayin Tsando, Maraban Jos, within the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna.

The operation unfolded following credible and timely intelligence on the kidnapping of six individuals. Swiftly mobilizing, the gallant troops initiated a search and rescue mission, making contact with the armed bandits.

A fierce firefight ensued as the troops engaged the criminals. In the process, six kidnapped victims were successfully rescued, and the troops seized two AK-47 rifles. Notably, one of the bandits was neutralized, while others fled with gunshot wounds.

The General Officer Commanding of the 1 Division Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Valentine Okoro commended the troops for their unwavering dedication and resilience in these operations. He urged them to maintain their aggressive stance until all criminal elements within the division’s “Area of Responsibility” are eradicated.

Additionally, the public was called upon to remain vigilant, particularly in identifying individuals with gunshot wounds, and report such cases to the Nigerian Army and other relevant security services for swift action.
