The Israeli-Hamas conflict has led to a grim death toll of 1,000, prompting Israel to formally declare war on Hamas.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed his nation, preparing them for what he called a “long and difficult” war following a massive surprise attack by Hamas from Gaza.

Hamas launched a barrage of rockets at Israel, sending fighters who targeted civilians and took hostages, including some German-Israeli nationals.

United States President Joe Biden has ordered “additional support” for Israel in response to the attack.

The escalation has resulted in over 600 Israeli casualties, the worst since the 1973 Arab-Israeli war.

Gaza has suffered extensive damage from Israeli airstrikes, with at least 370 reported deaths and many more wounded.

Tens of thousands of Israeli forces are deployed, engaging in battles with Hamas fighters and working to secure areas near Gaza. Israel vows to eliminate all terrorists within its borders.

Shock and concern spread in Israel as approximately 100 citizens were captured and taken into Gaza by Hamas, leading to distressing images and pleas for rescue from their families.
