APC Launches Campaign for Kogi Governorship Election, Focuses on Ajaokuta Revival

The All Progressives Congress (APC) launched its campaign for the Kogi State governorship election, scheduled for November 11th.

Key figures attending included APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor Yahaya Bello, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and APC governorship candidate Ahmed Ododo, among other party leaders.

Vice President Shettima urged Kogi residents to vote for Ododo to ensure continuity and emphasized President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to reviving the Ajaokuta Steel Company.

He noted that a separate ministry had been created, and Kogi-born Alhaji Shuaib Audu was appointed Minister of Steel Development to expedite the steel industry’s revival.

Shettima stressed that Ajaokuta’s full operation would generate over 500,000 jobs and 300,000 employment opportunities for youths. He called on all APC members to support Ododo for victory in the election.

Ododo pledged to unite Kogi’s people and bring meaningful development, emphasizing the importance of avoiding division and ethnic agendas.

Ahmed Ododo commended Governor Bello for his support of the youth and promised rapid development and improved security if the APC retained power.
