A police officer has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death using a beer bottle during a heated argument, in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

The incident occurred at the wife’s workplace in Barberton, Mpumalanga, early on Monday morning. In a further horrifying turn of events, the officer also attacked and stabbed his wife’s colleague, who attempted to intervene and stop the altercation.

The female colleague fortunately survived the attack and was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. What started as an ordinary workday at a local liquor outlet quickly spiraled into a horrifying murder scene.

According to reports, the argument between the officer and his wife escalated to a point where he used a beer bottle as a weapon against both women. Tragically, the lifeless body of the officer’s wife was discovered in the back of a vehicle, bearing multiple stab wounds on her face and chest. Her coworker, who bravely tried to intervene, was found lying in a pool of blood, with shards of glass strewn nearby, having suffered a stab wound to the neck.
