Air Europa Extends Compassionate Hand: Supporting Moroccan Earthquake Victims with Urgent Aid

Air Europa has joined the international mobilization that has expressed solidarity with the victims and those affected by the earthquake suffered on September 8th in Morocco.

The airline, joining the efforts to send urgent aid to the affected areas, has lent its support to the Othman Ktiri Foundation by sending food and essential items on a regular flight that arrived in Marrakech at the end of last week.

The initiative has allowed thousands of food bars to be transported to the area, donated by Air Europa’s provisioning service provider, Gate Gourmet; as well as 40,000 toiletries bags with personal hygiene items, the distribution of which will be handled by the Foundation’s field staff.

This non-profit entity, created in 2018 and dedicated to promoting initiatives and solidarity actions aimed at improving the conditions of groups in vulnerable situations, has been working for a year in Morocco alongside local actors in the development of projects in rural areas. to improve access to water.

Air Europa, which has maintained regular frequencies with the North African country for years, has not hesitated to make its resources available to those affected through collaboration with the Othman Ktiri Foundation.

The organization, in addition to already working on the ground to bring aid to the towns in Morocco where the violent earthquake has left more than 2,000 dead and tens of thousands of people homeless, plans to soon launch different initiatives for the reconstruction of homes and the rehabilitation of buildings. Likewise, it has enabled different channels to make financial contributions.
