A suicide attack involving a truck laden with explosives, targeted at a checkpoint, resulted in at least 13 fatalities and 20 injuries on Saturday afternoon in the town of Beledweyne, located in central Somalia.
“We have recovered the bodies of 13 individuals, primarily civilians who were in close proximity,” stated a police officer to AFP.
