Libya: Over 43,000 Displaced Following Deadly Floods in the East of the Country

More than 43,000 people have been displaced following the deadly floods that have ravaged the East of Libya, including the city of Derna, as reported on September 21, 2023, by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

“According to the latest estimates from the IOM, 43,059 people have been displaced by the floods in Northeast Libya,” stated the UN agency in its latest report on the situation in East Libya following the devastating passage of Storm Daniel on the night of September 10 to 11, which claimed more than 3,300 lives, according to authorities.
