Prophet Austin Ariole has expressed his belief that the responsibility for the untimely death of the young artist Mohbad does not lie with Naira Marley, the owner of the Marlian record label. Prophet Austin Ariole serves as the General Overseer of the Goshen Freedom Tabernacle (GFT) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State. He has, however, placed blame on the deceased’s family’s witches for the tragic incident.

These remarks were made during a Tuesday prayer meeting of the Goshen Freedom Tabernacle’s Upper Room team in Effurun. Prophet Ariole openly criticized the Church, suggesting that it bears responsibility for Mohbad’s unfortunate demise, asserting that it failed to provide adequate support to the young singer when it should have served as a haven.

Prophet Ariole stated, “I don’t typically follow worldly musicians, but I took an interest in this case. While praying last night, God revealed to me that Naira Marley did not cause Mohbad’s death. It was witches from his village who were responsible.”

Austin further elaborated that these witches perceived Mohbad’s promising future as a threat, motivating them to take such drastic actions.

While expressing sympathy for Mohbad’s family, Prophet Ariole did not mince words when addressing the singer’s father. He criticized the father for not doing enough to protect his son, highlighting that many parents often seek divine protection for their children, yet Mohbad’s father failed to provide sufficient support.

Austin Ariole raised concerns about the father’s apparent shift of focus from the tragedy itself to financial matters associated with the burial. These statements have ignited a considerable debate and drawn mixed reactions from various quarters.
