Egypt announced today, Tuesday, three days of mourning in solidarity with the victims of the humanitarian disaster resulting from the earthquake in Morocco and the cyclone in Libya.

Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, stated in a press release posted on the presidency’s Facebook page today, “President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi extends his deepest condolences on his behalf and behalf of the Egyptian people to the victims of the humanitarian disaster in Morocco and Libya.”

The spokesperson further noted, “Egypt declares three days of mourning in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Morocco and Libya, in light of the casualties resulting from the earthquake in Morocco and the cyclone in Libya.”
