A seismic tremor with a magnitude of 6.8 rattled Morocco, specifically southwest of Marrakech. The earthquake occurred shortly after 11:00 PM local time, precisely at 10:11 PM GMT. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake’s depth was estimated at 18.5 km. Fortunately, no casualties or significant damage have been reported.

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (CSEM), a scientific organization specializing in seismic activity in the Mediterranean region, also assessed the magnitude of this earthquake at 6.9.
