An explosion aimed at a passenger bus traveling in a locality adjacent to Somalia’s capital resulted in the unfortunate loss of life for at least six individuals on Wednesday, as reported by the state news agency.

Quoting Mohamed Ibrahim, the governor of the Lower Shabelle region, the Somali News Agency reported that the assault took place along a roadway connecting the Qoryoley and Marka districts. Regrettably, the incident led to the injury of an additional twelve individuals.

On its X account, formerly known as Twitter, the news agency conveyed that Ibrahim had attributed the explosion to a terrorist attack.
