Tinubu Submits Second Batch of Ministerial Nominees for Senate Screening

President Bola Tinubu is set to submit a fresh list of nominees to the Senate today. According to a highly credible source within the Senate, the list is expected to be read during the plenary session later today or early tomorrow morning.

The 28 new ministerial nominees are to undergo screening today, with the aim of concluding the process promptly to pave the way for the screening of the next batch. A senator, speaking exclusively to our correspondent, affirmed that the objective is to unveil the new set of nominees by Wednesday, ensuring that their screening is completed before the Senate’s recess.

“We want to wrap up the screening before the recess so that lawmakers won’t be called back for further screening after the break,” the senator asserted.

The nomination and screening process remain crucial steps in forming the new ministerial team, as President Tinubu takes decisive action to assemble his cabinet, with the expeditious handling of the ministerial nominees, the government aims to hit the ground running and address pressing national issues promptly.
