Nigerian singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken down the contentious snippet from the controversial video of his artist Logos Olori’s latest single ‘Jaye Lo,’ which he had previously shared on Twitter.

The clip, depicting people praying and dancing in front of a mosque, sparked a wave of criticism and outcry, with many demanding that the singer delete the video and issue an apology for what they perceived as a “disrespectful” portrayal of Islam.

Initially, Davido seemed to disregard the criticisms, leaving the video untouched. However, on Sunday, he finally heeded to the growing pressure and removed the “offensive” video from his verified Twitter account. While some Muslim individuals have acknowledged this action as a step in the right direction, they still await an official apology from the artist.

As of the time of this report, Davido has yet to issue any formal apology to the Muslim community, leaving them still seeking resolution and closure on the matter.
