The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has extended warm congratulations to Ibrahim Abdullahi, the newly elected Speaker of the state House of Assembly. Abdullahi’s major contender, Daniel Ogazi, graciously stepped down from the race, expressing full support for the Speaker who has held the position for the past eight years.

In a statement released by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Douglas Otaru, the APC hailed the successful election and swearing-in of Abdullahi, viewing it as a victory for the people of Nasarawa State.

The party also acknowledged the recent crisis that engulfed the Assembly, attributing it to certain politicians who sought to disrupt the peace and harmony among the state’s residents. However, the Nasarawa State APC praised Ogazi and other factional members for their display of patriotism during the resolution process, fostering a harmonious inauguration of Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

Looking ahead, the APC urged all 24 members of the Assembly to rally behind the programmes and policies of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration, working together to ensure rapid development and progress for the state.
