Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, extends a plea to banks that suspended operations in some towns within the state, urging them to reopen their branches. During the commissioning of the rebuilt Ede branch of First Bank of Nigeria, Adeleke assured the banks of improved security measures.

Adeleke stated that his administration has successfully restructured the state’s security architecture, ensuring safety in major towns and villages. The governor emphasized that the conditions that led to the closure of bank branches in Ila, Iree, Ikirun, Iwo, and other areas no longer exist, making Osun a secure environment for banking operations.

Adeleke further encouraged banks to support the state’s sustainable industrial policy, expressing the need for deeper partnerships with financial institutions to boost the private sector’s growth. The governor applauded First Bank’s collaboration with the state and called for the expansion of its services as the administration seeks to forge more partnerships with financial institutions and private organizations.
