Gadji Celi

Excitement is building as the legendary Gadji Celi prepares to return to his homeland, Abidjan, for two grand concerts on August 18th and 20th. It is no exaggeration to say that his arrival will bring immense joy to his fans, who have missed him dearly for the past 13 years.

Following his exile in France after the 2010 crisis, the former Chairman of BURIDA will soon set foot on his native land, bringing joy to his biological family, adoring fans, fellow artists, and especially his friends, among whom is President Ken Adamo, the current President of the National Union of Artists of Côte d’Ivoire (UNARTCI), an association previously led by Gadji himself.

Indeed, a jubilant Ken Adamo has shared some exciting news he received with his friends. Gadji Celi, the King himself, made a phone call from Paris last Wednesday to confirm his return to the country in August. Although the exact date of his return is yet to be specified, President Ken feels honored by his friend and brother, eagerly sharing the news of his arrival after more than a decade of exile in foreign lands.

As the current President of Artists of Côte d’Ivoire, Ken Adamo intends to rally his fellow artists and thousands of fans to give Gadji a warm and regal welcome. He stated, “Good evening, my brother! Gadji Celi called me yesterday to personally announce his arrival… I am thrilled, and here’s what I think… we must see how we can mobilize our peers, and I will soon sound the call.”

Ken Adamo is determined to honor his friend and brother, Gadji, whom he succeeded as the head of the Union of Artists of Côte d’Ivoire. This mobilization serves to demonstrate to detractors that there has never been any animosity between them and that their relationship remains fraternal and friendly. The proof lies in this phone call, which speaks volumes.
