Labour Party candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, concluded his case before the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) in Abuja, presenting documentary evidence and calling 13 witnesses to support his allegations of election rigging in favor of President Bola Tinubu of the APC.

Obi tendered exhibits including polling unit results, documents on the number of collected PVCs, and video evidence of INEC’s assurance on electronic transmission of results. Certified true copies of INEC forms were also admitted as evidence.

The LP initially planned to call 50 witnesses but closed their case with the testimony of the 13th witness. Witnesses highlighted issues with voter accreditation, result uploading, and the allocation of votes. Obi sought to void the entire election, challenging the results obtained by all candidates.

The case has been adjourned until July 3rd for INEC to present its defense. Obi and the LP contend that Tinubu was not the valid winner, citing alleged disqualification, previous indictment, and non-compliance with electoral regulations. They seek the cancellation of the election or a fresh election excluding Tinubu and the APC.
