Cameroon: Morocco takes part in the 8th “Africa meetings” conference in Yaoundé

Morocco, represented by a delegation led by Rachid El Abdi, President of the Region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, took part in the 8th edition of “Africa meetings”, held in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

This business event for a successful Africa was organised on the occasion of the General Assembly of the International Association of French-Speaking Regions (AIRF) and was attended by heads of French-speaking organisations and businessmen from France and Cameroon.

These ” Africa Meetings ” focused on a number of themes, including “Cameroon: Are the private sector and decentralisation the driving force behind economic development?”, “Agriculture-Agri-food: How to create value in Cameroon?

Mr El Abdi participated in the round table discussion “Cameroon: Are the private sector and decentralisation the driving force behind economic development?” and took this opportunity to highlight the important role of decentralisation in supporting the authorities’ development initiatives at various levels.

He also highlighted the role of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region in supporting investment and entrepreneurship, as well as simplifying procedures to encourage investors.

In the wake of these Meetings, Mr El Abdi held a meeting with 30 presidents and delegations from French-speaking African regions to create an atmosphere of cooperation.
