South African firefighters from Working on Fire have earned praise for their efforts in assisting Canada in extinguishing devastating wildfires. The initial contingent of over 200 firefighters arrived in Edmonton, Alberta on June 3rd. The wildfires, which began weeks ago, forced thousands of residents to evacuate their homes.

Working on Fire stated that their first group of firefighters, accompanied by 15 management members, landed in Edmonton, the capital of Alberta. A video capturing their arrival went viral, depicting a joyful scene of yellow-clad firefighters dancing and singing in unison.

According to Linton Rensburg, a representative of Working on Fire, the deployed firefighters have already started their operations in three fire hotspots within the province of Alberta. Ground reports indicate positive progress and successful implementation of their daily plans.

The assistance provided by the South African firefighters has been invaluable in combating the wildfires that continue to ravage parts of Canada. Their dedication and contribution have been widely recognized, highlighting their effectiveness and commitment to firefighting efforts on an international scale.
